readwritethink – K – 12 – New Approaches to Teaching Literacy

The International Reading Association features the web site readwritethink to “promote reading by continuously advancing the quality of literacy instruction and research worldwide.”

The readwritethink web site provides FREE interactive literacy resources K – 12 organized into the areas of :

Use the  panel on the left side of the screen to search and sort for student interactives by Grade Level, Student Interactive Type, Learning Objective, and Theme.

All Student Interactives are web based and most are in a game format.  They work beautifully on an interactive whiteboard.

Example:  Puzzle Me Words K – 3 uses audio and animation to help students practice early literacy.
